Border Crossing One of the most asked questions that we get here at Carols is about border crossing for new visitors. The laws that protect Canada and the USA are very similiar and usually the most difficulty that you will have crossing the border is the wait times. Try to avoid travelling across the border during holidays or peak times during the day to speed up the process of entering or leaving Canada.
There are regulations and paperwork required to complete your border crossing. You can read about the details on the Canadian and American websites below. For DUI you can call your state consulate if it has been under 5 years for a permit to enter Canada. If it has been more than 5 years you can ask ministers approval of rehabilitation. Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP)
